Default Power Street Tire ???????

My ? is can you run M/T street drag radials in this class. I have searched and found mixed info, some threads say they are aloud and others say there not. The NDRA rules say it has to be Nitto or Bfg radial, has this changed?
I also read that this tire is A advantage over the other brands, that is why it is not aloud in this class, but it is dot approved which makes it a legal drag radial for the street. Maybe the other tire companys should step it up if that is the case..

We have allowed the new Dunlop radial, but as of yet the Mickey Thompson has not been approved.

no that tire is not allowed and I doubt it will be, but the new rules aren't out. tires are all politics. I think the FWD should be allowed to run bias plys RWD drag radials and the AWD street radials, but that will never happen

The ones that we tested did not pass the tread to void ratio.

We will see what they have to offer at PRI for the Drag radial class.
