How to remove vehicle specific MOMO shift knob and boot...
Hey I know this is a pretty lame question... But here goes:
I got my current lude with a Momo leather shift boot and carbon look (bleh) ****. I was told they were vehicle specific momo parts but I've never herd of such a thing. Anyway... The question: How do I remove them?
My old Momo **** just used a series of grub screws under a screw on trim ring to tighten it down to the shaft.
This **** does not have a removable trim ring as far as I can tell... And it does not seem to unscrew as ether. And the boot popped up from the center console, but seems to have a plastic ring under the leather that's held in place by the ****... I can't find any screws or anything.
If anyone knows how to get one of these buggers off w/o breaking it I would be really grateful. I can take some pictures later if that would help... But I was just hoping that someone else had a similar ****.
Thanks,
Peter M.

do you want to remove the shifter and still use it? it looks like you're looking to replace it.
That being the case, try using a dremel and cut the beotch off...or yank really ******* hard.

Yeh if it comes down to it I know I can probably get a small wrench in there and replace the whole shifter. I have one of Jeremy’s from my old lude. I was hoping to save the **** and boot though just so that I could sell it.
