Does a 92-95 prelude s/si catalytic converter fit a prelude vtec?
I dont know....when I search for cats on ebay...they ONLY sell cats that just says fit for all 92-95 Preludes. Not that they are always right as I well know but I'm pretty sure that the 96 Prelude VTEC cat will be different than the 92-95 because its OBDII. I just think that the 92-95 s/si cats are the same for 92-95 Vtec. Any confirm this?

hit up http://www.slhondaparts.com and compare the part numbers for the different models, i think that between a si and vtec the are the same but the s is not , confirm by looking up part numbers.
IF I remember correctly, they are different lengths. you can make one work if u have a welder. We put a h23 cat on a h22 at my job and we had to make an extension pipe to get it to fit. It could have been that the POS tsudo exhaust the kid brought was just too short, I know it wasnt bent correctly.
Well that's cool...my exhaust from the cat back is pretty beast...or i can get my muffler shop to bend and do the pipes for $75. BUT...i bought a megan header...just needed to know if that downpipe went up to my current cat. I'm checking that Honda parts site now...when i was doing this H22A swap...i had no idea that the cat might not work. ****.
from my understanding, h23 cat + exhaust will bolt up to h22 header/downpipe,
you can mix exhaust parts, on an h22 but it can only be h22 header/downpipe with h23 cat and cat-back or all h22 without modding anything

any mass produced header is gonna be the same length as the stock one, or have some provision to reach the cat for you. I think the difference is in the header length....bc i have used an h22 header with an h23 cat and exhaust before without even realizing it.....

i just remembered that the si and vtec cats are only different where the exhaust bolts up to the cat.
the three bolt flange is bigger on the 92-96 vtec cat. so in theory, i believe that the aftermarket "test" pipes will all work since they use bigger flanges anyways. (if you are using an aftermarket exhaust also)
sorry for the confusuion.
