Just a quick update. The car is almost ready to go. It is just getting the final things taken care of so it will pass tech. California Dude is installing the kill switch today and that should be the last thing to make it legal to race.

I'm going to try to get the header and rear swaybar installed but it doesn't look like there will be time. It would have been nice to get the tires shaved but unless I can convince someone to do it at midnight I'll be out there on full tread KD's.

Here are some pics from the "Test Drive" Speed Channel taping a couple weeks ago. The car felt fast but I never got to do a complete lap so it was pretty useless as far as testing goes. I can't wait to get it out on the track this weekend to shake it down and see what it can do.

But don't get me wrong. I will still crush Chad and his east coast bucket. My car and I have been on a thorough diet and we are ready to make that chump eat cactus.







BTW the '06 Civic Si episode is supposed to air on Speed Channel this Sunday.

Brian from Scottsdale BMW should be at the track with the Toyo truck and should be able to shave the tires at the track. I'm not sure what he would charge but I think he prefers Budweiser

Brian from Chapman automotive group is usually out there with the Toyo truck on Friday night, but I doubt he'll be there until midnight. He might be there until 10 or so at least though, so you might want to give him a call. I'm sure they could probably shave them first thing in the morning on Saturday too. Unless, for some reason, they only shave Toyos.

A couple of us HC guys are going to head up to the track Fri evening to drop the cars and setup our paddock spaces. We were thinking about trying to find a nice, big spot with accessible power to rope off and reserve for HC. It'd be nice if we could all paddock together.
