i have this stange sound and it is really noticeable at low speeds. sound like the sound you get when you have a knot on your tire when you are going fast. at first i thought it was yet another broken axle but today i am off work and thought i would take a look at it so i have been sitting in my garage rolling my car back and forth. I found the spot where it does it and it almost sounds like something is rubbing itself. could it possibly be a bad wheel bearing? has anyone heard one before and describe it too me? i just replaced this wheel bearing about 6 months ago but when i replaced it, it was completely gone it was eating my tire and everything.
Yes.. It could very well be the wheel bearing. When my wheel bearing was bad it sounded almost identical to when my axles had gone bad. Although, wheel bearings should last for a long time, and if you just replaced it I cant see it as being bad already (unless you did something wrong on the install).

i actually just took out my hub and took it to a freind that works for my local dealership. it is just strange very reoccuring at the same spot. i can roll my car forward only and get it, not backwards. but it is in the same spot everytime. at high speed it sounds like a sort of growl but when i roll it in the garage it make a kindof grinding sound
