Default Weird Problem

Okay I have searched to some avail to answer my question but its still there. My problem is this, for awhile I had an exhaust leak it got really bad. So I got it fixed yesterday, no more exhaust leak. But I immediately noticed a loss of hp. I really don't see how this could happen from fixing an exhaust leak. But its like I used to be able to go up to 7500 without a problem and know it seems like it's gonna blow up if I try to go that high. Okay I know your not supposed to feel VTEC activate. But before I was at least very easily able to tell when it did through listening to the motor. It seems like I don't have VTEC and my rev limit decreased. I'm running a chipped P28. Do you think it might've gone back to SOHC mode or something??? That'd explain the power loss, no revs past 7500, and possibly the no VTEC????

It's possible that the only reason you heard VTEC in the first place is because of the exhaust leak. Since the exhaust was leaking, so was sound.

What is your engine set up? I assume you are NOT supposed to redline at 7500, but your chipped ECU allows you to go that high?

Maybe they unplugged your O2 sensor when they were fixing your exhaust and forgot to plug it back in? But that would make you throw a code. I dunno what to tell you, but knowing your engine and specs would help a lot.

H22A4 EG hatch. No I watched him fix it and he didn't unplug the O2.

Where was the exhuast leak at? IF it is close enough to the motor it can cuase a burnt valve.

I hate tell you bro but if you have one cam, your always in SOCH mode. I'm not really sure what you mean by this.
