Hi fellow Honda- techers.
I'm planning to do a B18C4 (Euro GSR) swap soon. And i did have some exterior beauty problems with my old front end parts. So i decided to have new front end to my car. 50% that i have to do it because of the B- engine and 50% of new looks and straight hood.
So i bought this VT front end a few months ago, but the transportation took long time. And i got the front end parts a week ago. I got following things on this christmas packet.
-VT Hood at original paint
-VT Bumper at orginal paint
-VT Single bulb power adjustable headlights
-VT Corners
-VT Cluster (250km/h, 9500rpm)
First thing when i got the packet was to open it of course. My mate SETI did good job on packing everything tight and secure. When i got my hands on the speedo, i started to feel this heat to put it right away. And 15 minutes later, it was running nicely.
After driving for a night with the cluster, i noticed few bulbs was out. On the cluster itself, and at the cluster cover. Plus the mileage was wrong. So i toke the cluster out, and started to change some bulbs. Then i got this idea to swap the speedo internals from old cluster. So i could get correct mileage. Changing the internals was a piece of cake if you have done some cluster work. Everything worked nicely, needels even didint snap.
At the same week, i dropped the parts to the painter who works at same job. I work for Volvo, so its definatley a professional painter. Parts who needed some paint.
-VT Hood
-VT bumper
-1.6i-16 (ED9) mirrors
Then it taked about a week, and i got the parts from the painter. The paint looked very sweet. No diffrent shades between the old and new. Very nice job.
Lets see some pics, huh? The pics are from installation progress, and i was so exited some time so i dont have much pics from the installation itself.

This was the old look. Very nice too, but some dents on the hood, and little cosmic worries on bumper.

I figured i could use my camera what i took with me.
So, here's one shot without "face".

Here we try the bumper first times... Problems incoming... We had to mold the bumper bolt mounts a little.
The last problem was the radiator support (T-bar) where the locking mechanism hangs. I had to move the radiator support 1.5cm foward, so i could get the hood locked and ready. We did some tricks what arent very nice to hear, but we got the hood on and locked.
Mission completed, here are some after pics.

How boring new cars look?

Hey! Who's coming from there?

I really like my amber bulbs

Everything lighted up!
Few cluster shots, szzzhhhakkkingggg hands...

As you can see, we just put all together. And this is not the final quality. We just were so tired and we didint have enought time to set and line everything up. I know there are some spots what i need to take care of.
But everyone, tell me what you think about this nice upgrade. Tell your opinions, ways to improve and comments of my car/ this topic! And i know, i'm not very good at photographing.
And dont mind my winter tires. 175/65-14, with spikes!
Thanks for reading this.

Yes the US has the same exact climate control. It just looks really bright in that pic. Must make it look different some how.. Nice job on that front end. I love my VT front aswell. Since the headlights are glass we don't have to worry about the nasty yellow some JDM plastic ones get...
Not to highjack but heres mine...

I think the brightness comes from my camera's setting. And yeah, the glass lights are very nice. I hate when headlights turn yellow.

Good job on the swap man.
I am so glad that all my parts arrived there in good shape. And pretty fast too.

Nice job
Why do I feel like I have to remove my H on the hood?
And spiked 175/65-14 kicks ***! Just too bad we have to start braking at least 100m earlier

Yeah, the painter did very good job taking the emblem out. And the paint finish is lovely too.
Yeah, finally someone from Scandinavia. Spikes rock, but dont look so good. But, i've got my Honda Jazz wheel caps.

Very nice CRX! Front end looks great, gotta love that timeless Honda styling.
One quick question, Are your seat belts mounted in the door, or are they mounted to the B-pillar?
