Losing power?
i need your guys' help. correct me if im wrong but when you drive the car at night with the headlights on and give gas and then let off it the lights shouldn't dim right? then why is it that mine do>? i give it gas and the lights dim a lil bit, and then get off the gas and they go bright again.
i've tried changing out the battery. my next guess is the alternator maybe? can you guys give me some input on this please thanks peeps. and would it cause me to lose power from this?

mine does that kind of stuff too. Sometimes when i sit with my hazards on the engine idle goes up and down up and down with the flashing of the lights. Think its a grounding issue, maybe altinator. Any one know for sure?
I would put my money on the alternator. It sounds like your drawing too much juice at one time so the energy is being shared between the engine and the lights. My friend had this problem when he put two 15's in his toyota tercel. The headlights would pulse to the bass lol. It was actually kinda cool except for the not being able to see well at night part
IMO look into a new alternator, or if you have a lot of electrical ish wired up in your car (subs, lights, neons, other ish) then look into getting a capacitor. Just my .02

Start by changing your main grounds and cleaning all of the connections that have anything to do with the battery, alternator and grounds. Let us know how that works for you.
