Default Buzzing noise coming from tranny after clutch install

I finally had my exedy clutch/fidanza flywheel installed, but ever since, I hear a low whining noise at low speeds and the faster i go, the louder the noise becomes and it has a buzzing sound, especially at freeway speeds. It gets the loudest when im going fast in 5th gear and i let go of the gas. The noise goes away if I press the clutch.

The onyl thing that was replaced was the clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing(came with the clutch). So i doubt its any of the bearings inside the tranny. Also went from 10-30 oil to 5-30.

Any idea on how to fix this? better tranny fluid? maybe the exedy bearing was bad? Can i just use my old one?

Damn 5w30? Honda recommends at least 10w30, and 10w40 for hotter climates. I would think its that...

the oil ain't the problem

it has to do with the clutch or pressure plate I bet my car on it, seems u could of damaged the teeth on the pressure plate which is causing so scratching against the clutch and it is spinning or something like that is occuring which causing this whinning noise as u are going into higher rpm's or speeds

It sounds like a throwout bearing thing, but since you replaced it I have no idea.

Generally replacing the release bearing gets rid of that noise...

i did the same...brand new clutch install in my tranny.....the input shaft bearing in the tranny is goin out on mine....so maybe thats everyones problem....u could replace it or jus get a another tranny like me.......makes same noise, gets louder as my rpm's go higher....and mine is really loud at a cold start, and when it warms up good the noise isnt as Bad..

im no tranny expert, but it sounds like the input shaft bearing is going.

could have happened if you manhandled the tranny in and out, resting the tranny on the input shaft alone, barely in.

btw, i really recommend you use Honda MTF, not regular engine oil. GM synchromesh or whatever equivelent i hear is good too.

its gonna suck if i take the tranny out and replace the input shaft bearing, only to realize the problem was the throwout. I hate this tranny **** im gonna buy a new one
