automatic to manual conversion

automatic to manual conversion
besides the pedal assembly, shift linkage and all that what else do i need to do to my car to convert it from automatic to manual? i heard you have to weld a mount in? does anyone know or has anyone done it with some suggestions please reply or bump if reading because i need help
