Re: Automatic to Manual Conversion PROS/CONS (Pabs626)
The only con is that it'll set ya back 3-700 bux.
Other than that there are no cons unless you're always stuck in traffic every day .

Re: (sageuvagony)
your shift lever indicator will stay in park.. HORRIBLE!!!!!
J/K...People all tell me to swap out to a manual cluster... WHY!?!?! What's the point!?!? And anyway.. I could just take out these $30 glow guages and just buy manual ones which will cover that AUTO shift lever light indicator thingy

Parts I used for my conversion..
Poor automatic
Bout to be swapped!
Swapped.. Of course it doesnt look like that anymore.. and the shift **** was WAY too high since it wasnt set all the way down.. I pushed it down and all nice.. And I was kidding about all those cons... There are none. Only pros. And if a manual tranny breaks, you can find one anywhere dirt cheap. Make sure you get a EX/SI tranny if you swap! I got most of the conversion parts from E Honda... THANKS!!!

Re: (Pabs626)
Pricing something like this can vary ALOT.
Brand new complete exedy stage 1 clutch kit = $80 shipped
Lines, Linkage, Master/slave cylinder, everything = $180 shipped
Installation =$300
Tranny I cant put a price since I already had it and only came with 36,500 miles on it. Came with my engine. Trannys you could find for about $200 +/-. Trannys could be way cheaper than that too. I'll copy and paste the list for you in about 5 min. If you know how to remove a tranny and know how to use a socket wrench I'd do the swap myself. I just didn't have time at ALL to do it myself. It's fairly easy. Everything is pretty much bolt on. Only issue you may run into is the top transmission mount. You'll either have to cut/relocate/weld the frame bracket that the transmission mounts to, or you could fork over the money and spend about $180 for an auto to manual conversion mount.

Here are some links.. Here's more than one just in case.

>>> https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1337459 <<<MANIFOLD NOT NEEDED<<<
The 3rd link that I posted say you need a new intake manifold. For your car you DO NOT NEED A NEW MANIFOLD! Only some of the 6th gen's do.
There are some debates on certain things but that depends on the person. Some would rather spend the extra money and purchase a manual ECU vs converting the auto ECU to a manual one. I converted the ECU with no prob. Some would spend the extra money and get the hasport conversion mount, others would rather remove the auto frame bracket and weld in bracket from a manual car. I did the welding one.. My car's running perfect with this new tranny at the moment (with the exception of me nearly flooding my car 2 weeks ago and having the flywheel slush around water all over..damn heavy florida rain! but that has nothing to do with this)
