Default NASA-Va. autox Sunday (March 17)

Still have a few openings for Sunday's autocross at VMP. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day by thrashing on your car!

Remember, Honda Challenge cars can compete in their appropriate Street Prepared class, hybrids can run in Street Modified.

Mah **** ain't runnin. The header is off to get coated and I gotta get an oil cooler plugged in. I'd prefer if it was actually connected to the engine.

Now about the supps for future NASA VMP events... It says muffler required. I have a resonator, which is actually listed as a "muffler" in Magnaflow's catalog. Does that count? *evil grin*

Just don't start it before noon. Don't want the f-in neighbor to get his panties bunched up.

Neighbor as in singular individual? I thought there were mulitple individuals getting all bent out of shape.......

Although i think it was back in november, Tui was fired up right at noon and sent around the course So i dont think your non-muffler is an issue....

If it is i'm **** out of luck. The tires i've got for my spec rx7 have next to no tread left, so if its rainy (forecast predicts it) then i'll be taking my Saturn out to play.... one-wheel drive, all season tires, not enough gearing and a plethora of understeering fun.

Warren - you're welcome to drive the RX-7, but I'll be at 6 Flags with AI this weekend.

Does a catalytic convertor count as a muffler. My car only blows 94dB, much less than Warren's supposedly muffled ITR.

Well, I can always auto-x my E30 M3 if I want to. We'll see. Thanks for the offer though.

Your car is an annoying 94dB. My car is earth shatteringly loud. I hope I make sound this year! Can you hear my car from inside yours when we're close? I can't really hear anyone else's car from inside.

Oh, btw, drove the E30 a bunch in the rain lately. That thing can seriously be a handful in the wet. Wow. Not sure which end is supposed to face forwards.

Sunday, the weather claims to be clear. I'm going to be mighty irritated if it rains at the one event I'm pretty stuck into running the V8 RWD car while my AWD beast is MIA. Actually, I'll be irritated while I'm standing still... but having a blast throwing the rear end of the car around. It might not be THAT bad in the rain, after all... it has nearly full tread AVSi's on it. Wonder if CONERNR wants a co-driver... I might have to inquire Actually it won't rain. Notice that Warren's Type Rain is out of commission. So ah, seeing as there are basically no SP cars, does BSP get bumped to BP? LOL, Roger Garrett will school me, but it'll be funny.

Is Karen commandeering Scott E's car?

Karen has had a Subaru in her driveway for almost a year ...

... but I don't think she's ever driven it.

That is correct.

And yes, I've taken over the coveted codriving position with Scott Evans from George Perinis...

OK...I can't deny it anymore. I am sure it was the old CRX "Muffler" that had the neighbor all bent out of shape. Never measured, but I would be willing to bet it was MUCH higher than 94 db. lol. What do you think Karen? So you can tell them I am not running it and it has a real mufler now so they can run earlier. hehehe.

Have fun.

Yeah, the neighbor at VMP complained when he could hear the CRX running at Fort Meade.

Hehehehe, I think I still hear the echo's from the tunnel in Virginia Beach.

Kind of funny...I use to feel so sorry for anyone work start when I use to run it. Their ears would be ringing for days.

Wellll, GRM didn't even RUN a Celica in their latest GS comparsion... I mean, they're so bad that they don't deserve a glance?

Hell, we should all be driving Neons anyway...

Ryan, if you ever built and ran one of those Neons, I think I'd cover your entry fee just to see you actually push that around a course. LOL, how bout it? Petersburg Pro, you still have a few months...

~Chris
PS- I'd throw in a beer if I was old enough to, but... how bout a Coke as bonus?

Hehe.. how bout i paint my SRX7 that color? Cant be worse than shitbox grey...

A coke would be great. A Coke drank precisely 23 minutes before your first autocross run of the day has been shown to scientifically improved on-course performance....

But at least shitbox gray is endearing! I however WOULD find it strangely pleasurable if you painted it Cone Orange. At least you wouldn't have to worry much about conemarks.
