Best Security Feature on your ITR
What do you guys think the best alarm and/or security feature to put on your ITR? I recently put a Boomerang 2 tracking system in my car (www.boomerangtracking.com) and I wanted to change my alarm system to something more recent. I was thinking of a Clifford Avantguard G4 alarm or a Polarstart alarm cuz its compatible with my Boom2. Let me know
Sad as it is to say, you can spend all the money you want on security systems, but if someone wants it bad enough it's gone.
You're only buying piece of mind, not prevention. Keep that in mind.

Best 'security' (apart from a garage) is a low insurance dedictible.
I am not been a smartass - lots of stolen Rs have $1000+ security systems. I would spend that money on modifications (or beer and pizza).

I got a garage, lowjack, chipped key and a rottweiler.
Plus, there is a bedroom in the garage that my homeboy sleeps in. Any sound and he is right there. I FEEL safe, but nothing is 100%.

pager for alarm
Yo, I got a Clifford G4 Concept 300 with a proximity module, I got so if you go near my Teg the alarm will give a warning noise.
I know of the Avangauard, Blackjax (anti car jack right?), spoke to some dealers they hated it because if you have Blackjax switched on you have to enter a 4 digit code into a keypad everytime the door closes on you car.
New trend in the UK is they spot your car and later tow the car away with a truck, nowbody cares about a car that's getting towed because it's not suspicious, I'm looking to get a tracker sometime soon to try and counter this.

it's nice to have a motion/tilt sensor, which comes with avant guard 4...and to make the paging thing page you when the car tilts.
blackjax is not so bad. sure i have to put some 1-4 digit number, but not so bad once you're used to it. sometimes i forget to do it but it warns me so i'll do it while driving or whatever. people tend to look at me, however, when my car makes a warning noise when driving.
but i still have my R after my GSR was taken away from me. so perhaps it's the alarm..or maybe they just went low key cause several people got caught recently in this area.

How about a tracker that's monitored 24/7 it's about £100 a year to run over here.
They can tell if the car is moving (being pushed etc) and they will call you just to check, if it's not you they will call the cops for ya.
