just wondering if i can take the guts of a d16y8(obd2b) distributor and put them in a jdm b16a (obd2a) distributor. cause im using the obd2b harness on the b16 and i noticed the plugs for the distributor are different. the obd2a has 2 extra wires.

 

I believe the only interchangeable piece is the ICM. Everyhitng else is different.

Im not sure which distributor you are taking the guts out of, but if you can give me the TD# off your dizzzy I can help you. Your probably using a TD84U, But let me know. I work for a company that makes / sells JDM dizzies...Mike
