QUICK HELP!! do i have the wrong ECU or what? tell me what could be wrong!!!!
i have a 93 GSR (OBD1)and recently purchased a OBD1 PR3 ecu. i reseted the ecu first before installing the new one......and then i throw codes 41 and 20 now......before i didnt...when i put the gsr p61 stock ecu in, it throws NO codes.
my question is....does the PR3 OBD1 ecu use a different O2 sensor than my GSR vehicle? i have a 4 wire o2 and i was told that the DA6 integra XSI in japan had only 1 O2 sensor wire...is this true????is that why i am throwing these codes? i was thinking that the O2 sensors had a different amps or ohms or whatever?????any light shed on this problem would be MUUUUUCCCCHHHH greatful..the car starts up fine and all but i cant seem to get these damn codes off........
obviously my O2 sensor isnt bad and all other things are in its right place because the stock P61 ecu works fine...
also the reason why i bought an extra ecu is for smog purposes..i was going to get the PR3 chipped and leave the p61 a virgin

I think u have the wrong ecu...a pr3 is pre OBD...u shouldnt be able to even hook this into ur wiring harness
i have the RARE OBD1 PR3 ecu...so yeah it plugs in fine...i know the difference betwwen OBD0 and OBD1 and OBD2..i just wanted to know if all the OBD1 ecu's use the same O2 sensor........??
I believe they do use the o2 sensor but again I have never heard about this rare PR3 that u have...something sounds fishy about this obd1 pr3...whered u get it from? I think u might have gotten ripped off
some 92-93 GSRs (B17A) have those OBD1 PR3s. Its basically the same thing as a JDM B16a PR3 but OBD1. As far as i know it is only a USDM ecu that only comes with the B17a. In fact ive never seen any other ECU with that motor, but then again ive rarely seen a b17a. Those things are more rare than a B18C5.
Also, the DA6 in japan that used a single wire O2 sensor was non OBD B16a. Im running that motor in my teg.

i belive that the PR3 OBD1 ECU's came out of a INTEGRA SIR-g in japan.....(b18c)......if anyone can correct me please do....but i am sure there is one for sure!...as for the B17A's here(usdm), they came with P61 ecu's......
thanks for your replies!

um, i dont mean to offend you but integras in japan do come with B18's
integra SIR-g = b18c
integra type r = b18c5
thats why some people have the jdm b18c...looks like our USDM motors here.....thanks though for your reply
