Im wanting to get my car painted, maybe after december when Income tax comes around or might wait till summer. I wanna go Imola red, but I was wondering if there is anyone that just painted their hood black and if it looked ok. Cause I wanna keep the strength of the stock hood. Thanks for the Info!

 

im confused? do you want your whole car painted or just the hood? personally i would not paint your hood black if the rest isn't. and as far as keeping the strength of your stock hood....simply repainting it will not effect the integrity at all.
a complete paintjob will run you between 2-5k depending on the labor rates where you live and the shop. ask around which shops do good work or if nothing else just go around do different shops and look at the cars that are done. your looking for a nice flat clear with minimal orangle peel (which is kind of ripplly looking topcoat). nice smooth edges and no dirt or dust in the paint.
usually you get what you pay for so i wouldn't cheap out on it if you want a nice looking paint job.

Yeah I think Im just gonna paint the whole Car. I just had an Idea and thought about it, but Im just gonna go carbon fiber later on. So the verdict is going Imola red on whole car, except some trim! Thanks!
