Default Omnipower sports not low enough?

On my EJ8, I believe, when I initially installed them, that I set the front shock bottoms as low as they would go, and the rears as low as they would go. The rears went down far enough to tuck wheel on 205/40/16s and the fronts still leave 1-2 fingers of gap. Its ridiculous. So I had to raise up the rear shock sleeves to even it out.

Are all of the Omni's like this? I searched and found another person with this problem. But that was all. Yes, I preloaded the springs, and didnt touch the spring perch (like it said) and no, there is no problem with my control arm hitting the fender wells.

Before: (You can kinda tell the gap between the pics from the front in relation to the rear)

After: (After I raised up the rear)

You mean to tell me that that is the LOWEST I can go on a 205/40/16? Seems to me that there is something wrong with my coilover setup from Omni. That is not 4" of adjustment.

4" of adjustment is threw the whole setup not just the bottom....your lucky to get 2" from the bottom.

Can u jack up ur car and show us a pic of the coilovers as they are right now?

maybe you can just drop the springperch some.

There should be more drop to be had there.
However any ammount you drop it at the springperch, will decrease your supsension stroke that much.

Now this is actually not a big deal, because if you are going to drive around that low you do not want to have all the stroke in the world,
what'll happen is when you hit a bump in the road or something, you're tires and/or suspension components will rub on your inner fender.

heres a picture of my car w/ the omnipower sport setup.i have the bottom as far down as possible and i dropped the spring perch some too.. i dont like it to low so this is how i sit. i said the same thing with only dropping the bottoms on all 4 corners..but i had to sacrifice some stroke to..but not a whole lot. idk try playing with the spring setting.

you can lower the omni's more by spinning the lower half but you will scrafice some of the ride smooth/stiffness

since spring rate is stiff, you dont need much shock travel. so lower ur coils.

but that drop looks good to me.

You didnt preload, read the directions, you adjust the sleeve itself not the perches.
