Well, I dont know why your surprised your engine "stops making power" when you let of the gas. Oh ya, that jerk your experiencing is called slowing down.

heh, funny reply.

I generally, when braking, don't take the car out of gear, and don't put in the clutch until about 2k rpm, if I let it go below this, the engine will no longer decel as much and will actually feel like it is "pushing" my car for lack of a better word.

it is completely normal.

also, when in stop and go traffic and in 2nd gear (I generally shift pretty quickly to 2nd) and decelerating with traffic and letting the engine load pull me down, rather than clutching and braking, about 1500 rpms again, it stops decelling and I get a small "push", then if I leave it in gear and accel again, it will go slow and then all of a sudden it will pull hard.

just a thing that our engines do. I don't recomended that you let this happen though, as it is stress on the engine, transmission, and other parts of the car (the "push" or "jump"). when you get down to about 2000 rpms go ahead and put in your clutch and downshift if nessisary, or leave it in gear ready to come off the clutch and go again.

no, i mean when i put it in neutral and it decels normal then all of a sudden it just drops fast from 2,500 to 1,500, like if im at 4,000 and i take it out of gear and it gets to about 2,500 it drops fast, thats what i mean....thank u
