can you take your faceplate off? if so just do that, cause it would be kinda pointless to steal a radio with no faceplate

You have detachable face? That might help and actually take the face off. I agree it the moving it to the glovebox.
Do you have a system? Or just a stereo with some upgraded factory replacements?

Do you advertise your car with loud music so that everyone knows your car has good stuff in it?

having the radio in the glove compartment may be a solution but its kind of annoying changing stations that way while driving

So you leave your face in the car? Or they assume yours is in the car?

no i dont advertise my radio in any way. the faceplate being or not in the car is not the deal. the point is that even when from the outside people see that the faceplate is not on, they still break in the car, so me taking it or not wouldnt make a difference since they brake into my car anyways

I understand it is annoying that someone is breaking into your car but if you intentionally leave your face in your car that is your own fault. At least if they steal the stereo they will either have something useless or have to hunt down a face for it.

Maybe you just need to bait them and when they shatter the window just put some salt into there butt courtesy of a shot gun or pellet gun.

now that everyone has lectured you about how to remove your face plate when you leave your car........

here is your answer:

I've done it:
you have to use the plug out of the car you are getting the radio from, Cut the plug out of the car and splice it into your plug. The only differences in any head unit you get are the plugs.

yeah, just run a factory cd player and you don't need a head unit with remote just use an acc wire, and for an amp you can run a line inverter, completely stealth.

i wouldnt go with this one, its got a custom sized face. you should get any one of the many OEM DIN sized radios.

i just got my **** broken into and stereo stolen this weekend too. along with all my tools and motorcycle helmet.

i have a spare OEM 2 channel radio only that i put back in...
