Winter tires
What have you guys gotten in terms of winter tires? Throw up your setup and how much it cost. I am looking to get an AP1 and almost need to buy them immediately after gaining title of the car.
blizzacks.... (seriously thats what they call them)
i still run so2's in the winter..
just don't be an idiot driving around till your tires are properly warmed up...
however if you have a feeling you might get caught in some snow here and there then i suggest you buys some blizzacks

i got around fine in snow, up to 4 inches. You can get around with granny driving. Now you won't be going straight all the time so you must be careful. On my way home from school, my rear must have started sliding a good 10-12 times (30 mile commute). The forecast that day was for rain but it snowed. stupid weather ppl
My recommendation is to buy blizzaks to be safe. If i had to drive through another winter, i would go buy them

I just put Dunlop WinterSport M3 on my 2005. They're the best rated high performance snows on TireRack and the only company I could find besides Pirelli that made both of the two different sizes needed on a 2005. Haven't had them in the snow yet, but on dry roads that don't feel much different from the OEM tires. They say you won't get the total snow performance that you would out of tire like Blizzak but in CT the roads generally are clear a day or two after a storm.

If you don't get a lot of snow, I'd just go with some nice treaded all-seasons, which will be cheaper and last you longer. If you live in the snow belt like me, dedicated snow tires are a must. Although, I just use the beater.
