Default DIY True ram air intake

everything was bought from mynards and cost under $10

heres what i started with

i notch this out so it fit better

the dryer tube then goes in the elbow and feeds through the hole by your battery. the antenna looking things bent up in around the hole to secure it a little better

hole cut in the bumper and i duct taped the thing i cut out the the back

drilled a couple of holes so water had somewhere to go

what a stupid waste of your time, all that ram air accomplishes is getting your air filter 10X as dirty.

you call that a waste of time when youre the one that gets online to bash other people's projects? do us all a favor and buy a motorcycle, drive it fast everywhere and die ... it might get his filter dirty quicker but it provides air that is MUCH more rich in oxygen to his filter than that inside his engine bay which we all know helps out with power... plus we're not here to give helpful mods on "how to keep your filter clean"... leave the man alone

speaking of ghetto air intakes...mine is stock 1.5 cx intake tube with a home depot rubber adapter with a 45* 3" crush bent exhaust pipe to a Ractive cone filter.

I did this a few years back with my CRX... no real noticeable change in power... but Im sure it does help with supplying fresh cool air to the filter.

thats the solution to every thing right? just buy it!

thumbs up for do it yourself performance mods, although if i were you, i would've used some cold air intake piping or something similar so its smoother on the inside

I agree it is ghetto, but so is your screen name, and the way you spell...gheto.

Props to doing something on your car just another thought if you didn't want to use dryer vent you could do some PCV it would just look cleaner. I'm not sure if it would help any but lower temps are better.

Good Job Coot_er
