Default "brake" light always on

The past few days the "brake" light on the dash has been coming on and off whenever I make turns. I figure the wiring must be rubbing someplace and grounding out. Now it just stays on and is annoying me. Does anyone know of a common place for a short? so I know where to look.

Your master cylinder is probably low on fluid...

I've had it happen on 2 of my cars, so I am going to say low brake fluid.

I didn't even bother to check the level because I didn't think there was a level sender. I'll check it tonight.

Sometimes you don't need to add fluid, your brake pads might be low.

yeah, the size of the brake fluid reservoir is designed so that if the pads were new and it was topped off, and you didnt have any leaks, then when the fluid level is low, it signals that your brake pads/shoes and/or rotors/drums need changing.
