98-01 comptech front lip ques????searched!
ok looking into buying a comptech usa front ITR lip for 98-01 integra's and by what i was told was that when u get it, its folded??? or something how do i get it to mold back to its original position or what? i heard theres a crease or somthing let me know please
thanks
thanks
so i can just unfold it and take a hair dryer to the spots and heat it up a lil while i hold it in its normal position??? thats it just hold it open and heat it up ?
mines a 94 but it wasnt folded when i got it, it was kinda warped. spent like 30 minutes flattening it out. Its real easy to mold, when that stuff gets hot its like play doh.
just heat it up with a hair dryer. The lip is rubber, when heat is applied, the lip should pop back to its normal shape. Just think about what would happen if you heat up plastic. after it is warm, you can mold it to any shape and form you wish.

yea i was like wtf when i got mine. When test fitting it before painting it, I found it to shape very easy with a hairdrier. Only compaint is you can see where they seemed the peice together. A little off center there was a seem that once painted barely stood out. Nothing a little more sanding might have fixed but it is only noticeable imo by owners (you know how we see those little imperfections others don't). As far as fitment A++ it fit snug as hell all the way around I was definantly happy with my purchase.
do i have to heat it up and mold it up against the bumper cover or can i do it without having to put it up to the cover let me know
you can get it shaped back to normal with hairdrier w/o having the car to test fit. However, I would highly advise stretching it or test fitting it to the a car before you paint it because the paint will be fresh and might fuckup if you are streching it to fit perfect.
Mine was folded when I got it, I let if sit on the floor for a day or two and it started to straiten out and then when I got home one night I just stuck it on the car and let if sit over night...no problems looks great on the car got a couple pics if you want to see

Yes, but I figured better safe then sorry and in my case it wasn't that big a deal to install it unpainted first and let it sit in the sun 12hrs before painting.

nice.......
looks a lot better then the fiberglass/abs kit.
those kit dont fit right and is a little shorter on top, about 1", so it doesnt cover the lower bumper like the OEM kit.
