Default Eg tranny gear modifications

I have an eg, running the D. Its custom turboed, and the primary purpose of the car is race. Whether that be drag, or road course. What i am interested in is whether i have any cheap options at different gear ratios. I am running a si tranny already, but i would like it to have a shorter 3rd and 4th gear. I don't care about highway driving by anymeans. It pulls great at 13-15psi, but i feel with shorter gears, or the option, it would be better for the race track. Plus, i have a few trannies laying around, so i could then make a couple of different options. I tried searching some, but wasn't finding much. If anyone has info, i'd appreciate it.

you can find a shorter ZC 3rd gear, and then run a CX 3rd gear AS the 4th gear. You need to do some modifications on the gear collars, but nothing major. Do this with a 4.7 or 4.9 FD, and you will be ripping through the gears.

My old tranny was just an Si trans with 4.9 FD and LSD, and it ripped! BUT, 2nd to 3rd could have been a little shorter still... Gearing makes a world of a difference on a D series. We get shorted on gear selections
