LS turbo or GSR turbo
currently have a 96 gsr all motor just bolt ons... thinkin about selling it and getting a 98 or higher just something with less miles on both motor and chasis want to go turbo... but something reliable... decided between and LS or Gsr....basic plans is just sleeving the block and basic rebuild of the block maybe new pistons... then slap the turbo on... something not to extreme for a daily driver just want to know what would be better just knowing the the LS has lower compression.
theres some many topics about this.... but alot of people go Ls block. but your re building it so w/e Ls Low end Gsr High end. its all about the crankshaft so you pick.
If you're going to build it, then the compression doesn't matter. You can get whatever compression pistons you want. At stock compression levels, with a stock setup, the GSR turbo will make more power than the LS.
However, at high power levels, the difference that Vtec will have over the non-Vtec is negligible. It all depends on your final goal.
