my car makes this whining sound at about.. 5.5k-redline sounds like a turbo spooling.. jw what is it.. makes me worried when i bring it that high anyone have an idea? 98 Ls motor

 

Do you have any sort of modifications done to it? Air intake? Exhaust?

 

I get a similar whissiling sound from my aem sri from 3-4k, if you have an intake then it is normal.

 

yea aem cold air, but i made it a short ram.. so i guess its just the intake, i hear it all the time with that deep sound but i didnt think it was that, well thanks !

oh then either my turbo eg sounds funny or my ek sounds funny..

 

iu got the same sound.. its t not the intake, nine started when i got a flex pipe welded into my exhaust. idk wtf it is..

 

I rode around without my turbo on for a few days and simply put a filter right on the throttle body... yea i know it's stupid but it was only for a few days... anyway, mine made a sick *** whoooosh noise whenever i would have it wide open from 5-7,200... I'm pretty sure it was just the filter sucking in mad air... mad JDM Yo

 

Check your exhaust bolts, like a week after I put on my rsr exmag I started hearing a sound like that, but it was the exhaust bolts vibrating I guess... two days later muffler unbolted..
