if you have ANY KIND OF AFTERMARKET INTAKE MOD, that could be the reason. My short ram intake is damn loud after i shift...some dumb kid thought i had a turbo and he was hearing the blow off valve. haha

Could also be a small leak in the exhause if it is actually coming from the bottom on the car. Have the car on idle and just lay down underneath the car, or around there. If you here a small sputting kind of whistle, then its a leakage, check your gaskets.

It could also be your intake like everyone else says.

ITS YOUR A/C BELT....TIGHTEN IT

Thats what it is, no exhaust leak or anything, your AC belt needs to be tightened and it wont do it anymore

Had this EXACT problem before, your AC belt slips and creats like a squeak or PSSST sound like a BOV sorta....

Tighten it i bet thats it

I have the same sound and I have also been told its the A/C belt. My belt also makes a weird ticking noise at idle, with both the A/C on and off.

Anymore clarification of this? How do you go about tightening the A/C belt? Sorry for the n00b question.

Thanks Hatch,
I have this exact sound except it happens as soon as the a/c engages, a slight psst so I will definately check the a/c belt tension.

Good luck, besides what other people said, i am almost positive this is your problem...

people think intakes give them that sound, the sound they here is more of a sucking sound, not the sound you are talking about....

I also hear this sound, and a ticking from my A/C belt when at idle. How do I tighten my A/C belt? I'm sure it's not hard, just didn't get a chance to look yet since its dark out. I plan on seeing if this is my problem tomorrow
