Recommendations for my situation. Round 2
Ok, as stated in my last post, I'm trying to plan out which direction I want to go with my '99 Civic. Turbo or Supercharger. This is my daily driver.
After reading the entire old post
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1441711
It still does not help me anymore. People just kept griping about its application dependent.
What questions do I need to ask to provide info about my application of my project?
Things I deffinately want
#1 - Want keep the AC.
#2 - Want to keep the stock engine. (Will prep / build it up properly before adding either t or sc)
#3 - Economical in the long run. IE, I don't want to spend a lil money now to have to spend 10x more in a couple years.
#4 - I want low in torque. If needed, I want to be able to bolt of the line w/o waiting for power. (I don't like redlining my engine)
#5 - Keep the engine components cool. I've learned the cooler you keep your engine (and components) the longer it will last.
Thanks in advance!

If you only want more power for your DD then go with a superchager. If you want high HP go with the turbo.
What do you plan on doing with this car?

Just wanted to give it an overall increased HP, along with having it drive nicely. By no means will it be a dragster vs all the other cars I've seen. But I wouldn't mind shutting up a mustang that's trying to brag.
Going to be my Daily for the life of the car. I'm not going to put a roll cage in it. I'll probably have a secured audio system. At the end of the day, I want to be proud that I drive a fast, but not crazy car.

if you go turbo, and have the money buy a full kit... greddy kits are reliable and can make decent power with good tuning. This kit has everything and blots straight up. there are also plenty more kits besides greddy... but buying a premade kit saves you alot of time and frustartion if you have the money.
So in the long run, it'll be cheaper and more effective to go turbo vs s/c'd?
I'll probably have to peace it all togther, but there's no way I'm getting rid of my ac. Florida driving sucks w/o out.

most people that turbo their cars get turbos that are way too large for their application cause they're caught up in the bragging rights.
if you want low end power, run a smaller turbo. Most people think smaller turbos are useless and you can pick up a used one for fairly cheap.
plus you can piece together your turbo kit (small turbo) for a whole lot cheaper than a supercharger.
it's all about how much time you wanna spend.
more time than money = piece together your turbo
more money than time = greddy kit or supercharger

sounds like a supercharger on a ls motor is right down your ally. that thing would be a 60ft, 1/8 mile monster. seems like a honda might not be for u, plenty of domestics can offer u low end torque, and they dont rev high. just my 2 cents
my del sol has a/c and all that stuff(stock motor)i peaced together my turbo kit for like 600 and its a daily driver.oh ya and stomps mustags* if u want a turbo setup pm me
ps superchargers suck
