Storing/keeping bike outdoors :searched:
I have a 01 Honda Rebel 250. My garage is very small and I would like it to be more car oriented so I can have more room while working on my car. If I took my bike out of the garage, I would have more room.
On the side of my garage, I have a slab of concrete that I was thinking about putting my bike on. If I decide to keep my bike outdoors, I will invest in a cover.
My question is, is it possible to keep the bike reasonably clean even though it will stay outdoors and in general, is it a good decision to keep a bike outdoors even though there's room for it inside? Keep in mind it's just a rebel 250 and I'm not gonna get a heart attack if it gets a little dirty.

With all the bike theft going on, I would keep it inside then if you need the room in your garage to work on the car just take the bike out. I mean if you have the room and your not living in the garage i don't see why you would want it to be outside when it can fit inside. But if you do decide to keep it outside you have no reason to be surprised when it gets stolen.
i didn't think anyone would steel my toys r us schwin but sure enough they did. A bike is a bike and if you can get it for free you make pure profit, so like i said if you leave it outside you have no reason to complain when it comes up stolen. It's like leaving your car unlocked in a parking garage with security camers.
My bike is kept outside, I live in a complex, invest in a good all weather cover, a heavy lock and chain (if you want to do a bit of DIY action, get an old inner tube and cut it, slide chain through, tape/wire up the ends presto instant bike chain that won't tear up your rims) and maybe a disc lock, and then on top of that insurance
, my bike is relatively clean and she's had no dramas with her life outside.
