how to take off a flywheel?

Default how to take off a flywheel?

Hey guys got another question. I have a pulled motor in my garage and need the flywheel off of it... how do u get it off because when i try lossening the bolts the flywheel just spins. Thanks.

nvm got it.... for any1 else wandering this... i used the flat end of a crow bar to hold it still.

they actually make a tool that holds the flywheel in place..

screw holding the fly wheel to take it off, just use a compressor and impact wrench, i sex it everynight. lol i love it . . .. . . but, what is this tool called though? ide rather just use a screw driver.

I forget what its called but it has teeth on one end that go into the flywheel like a gear, and then you bolt it to the block so it cant turn. Its a nice tool to have if you do that kind of work everyday but I have a compressor and that works fine for me the Few times I need to take it off.

Just remember to torque those bolts back down properly or youll have to pull it all apart again later

impact wrench taking it out and prybar between the flywheel teeth when torquing back on
