Code 9 (CYP sensor) - on 96 prelude!
I have a 96 prelude with a obd1 JDM h22a swap. Iv done some searching on how to fix this Code 9 (CYP sensor)problem and tried everything and still get this dayum code. I have a new dizzy and tried 2 ECU's and still no luck. I also used an ohm meter on the 2 wires from my old h23 harness (a Yellow and a Black wire) in which im using that go from the dizzy to the ECU and got a reading so i know theres not a break in the 2 wires. I checked the resistance on the dizzy itself (a Orange and a White wire) and got a reading of 400 or 399. I tried swiching them and then resetting the ECU and it went away for a little while then came back.????
Can a crossed wire somewhere else throw the code too? The check engine flickers when i drive at times , like if it wanted to turn off but it doesnt. What else do i need to check for?

The check engine light after juming the service connector blinked 9 steady blinks so im assuming its a code 9. I was messing around looking at all the wiring i did and found that the yellow that connects to the Orange wire to the dizzy (CYP sensor) from the old h23 harness was wire braided. The wires from the wire braided wire were making contact with the actual wire that was to be connected to the Orange wire . So i rewired it without the braided wires touching the actual contact of the yellow and orange wires , reseted the ECU and BAM no more code 9! I guess the reason for the wire braided wire is so the other wires in the harness wouldnt enterfear with that 1 wire. ???? If you can still send me the manual part of it, i would like to have it just incase it creeps up again! Thanks dude for your responce!
