it's because you forgot to read the "fine print"
it usually says.. STOCK FILTERS WILL FIT IN YOUR INTAKE BOX

Because the filter is inside the bay, it's protected from the elements. Hydro lock isn't as much of a threat.

if you have a CAI already just re-route the bottom tubing and do some cutting???

ya its been done many times. using stock box with home depot pipes down there.
oh ya, i took it to test drive today..i love it! its quite no more damn hissing sound. and feels smooths(mostly the sound), but mad tight vtak is too quite
