As the topic says I am going to be buying a comptech Supercharged S2k, is there anything specific that I should look for before buying the car?

 

If you're going to buy any vehicle that has already been modified, especially with forced induction, it's imperitive to see services records, installation records, and tuning records.

Anyone can bolt on a supercharger and sell that car, but if they have not installed all the necessary components and taken the time to tune it properly, you could be buying a time bomb.

 

get a leak down test done on the car as well...

it's generally a bad idea to buy a car that has gone through extensive mods such as a high NA build or a car that has forced induction. i'd suggest buying a stock car and buying the supercharger urself.

 

ask to see all paper work........ do a leak test on the cylinders.... maybe let him take u for a spin and get on it. have him go thru the gears to make sure there are no grinds, or funky noises. maybe take someone who knows more then u do and have them inspect it as well. good luck with the purchase

chad and dave are from va beach.. not frederksburg... besides.... dave already sold his S.. and chad is rebuilding his...

 

definitly get a compression and leakdown test. thats a must. You wouldnt buy a used tampon would ya?

 

Turbo or supercharged places extra strain on drivetrain. Have any upgrades been performed to this?

Also may want to check the clutch isn't worn out. You don't want to buy the car and then have to pay for a new clutch you didn't know about.
