Heater won't blow and A/C won't kick in. A/C light won't come on as it should when A/C is engaged. Is problem mechanical or electronic. If mechancial is it a blower moter and if electrical/electronic what part needs to be replaced? I noticed that there are several expensive electrical parts relative to heater/air conditioner but I don't want to spend money on something that I don't need. Resistor has been replaced. Is Honda dealership the only place to get these parts? I have been ripped off many times. Thanks much.

 

If the blower doesn't turn on... It maybe both. First thing first, try to get the blower motor work first.
Then go with the AC. There are switches/relay/ac pressure that need to turn on the compressor.

 

you can problaby find some parts you need from a junk yard, off a wrecked up crx. i had problems with my heating core and i just went and got one for a good price from the junk yard and it works great.

 

Any help in IDing switches? Original Honda owner's man and Chilton's isn't clear. Can I get parts other than Honda dealer. They are very expensive. Much thanks. I live in Tulsa, OK. No junk yards around here with CRX parts. I've tried everybody.

 

i got the whole blower assembly off ebay for 5 bones

 

Still need to know if switches/electric parts are available through a source other than Honda. PEP Boys? O'Reily's. I don't mind paying their prices if they are cheaper than Honda. There are no salvage yards (where I live) that carry '85 CRX parts.
