new S2000 owner, check in to answer my questions please.
ok, first off thanks to my friend for letting my use his username on here. i bought a 2001 S2000 a month ago and am about to start upgrading, ive been on inlinefour for awhile and decided im going with an ARC induction box so far, id like to get maybe just a down pipe-testpipe instead of a whole catback, and maybe try and find some headers instead of the $1500 spoon ones. any suggestions? the car is a daily driver and im still in school. so nothing to much but i want to stay N/A. thanks.

haha, i called to tell him he has some replies on this thread, he got pretty happy. then i told him what they said. he let out a big *sigh* haha
, but yea im going to try and fix what he put. hes looking for some nice headers with out the Spoon pricing. weve been looking at the toda and mugen ones i think it is. so what headers are you guys running? and he wants a test pipe so he doesnt have to replace the stock exhaust since we both think it looks nice but i guess he wants a little bit more power than that. AND last but not least, he wants to get the ARC induction box. so whats your thoughts on these parts and whats a good header and test pipe that he should look into? he should be back to answer questions in a couple hours or so, untill then. ill be here

J's header, Berketeck or T1R test pipe. The ARC has very minimal gains according to people that own them, due to heat soak.
ive herd about the J's header but never looked into it, because i dont have an S2000 but a del sol. where could he find this header and downpipe? im not really gonna search cause thats his job if its his car, id just like a couple sites
thanks for the help though
thanks for the help though
ARC Box = WASTE
Header - If you want a good one, you will be paying money. The mugen is not worth it. It only adds some midrange, nothing else. Go with the J's or Spoon. Both are dyno proven
Testpipe? Get an exhaust first, preferably one that matches the header

ok so, the ARC is out of there. we were talking about it. i guess hes gonna look into some more. so a spoon header with spoon exhaust? J's header with _?_ exhaust. im just curious myself now. so far heres the "list":
spoon thermostat
spoon thermoswitch
buddy club earthing ground kit
buddy club v-con v-tec controller? never herd of it...
ARC titainium titain hood panel
so far thats what hes getting from what i know. so where can i look more into the J's racing header and some more exhaust options? could a apexi world sport be a good possiblity? thanks alot guys. me and the owner are kind of not use to the whole S2000 scene but have been doing some looking around. mainly him cause im not picking my AP1 up till May

I used a Mugen thermostat and fanswitch.
I earthed my car using 4gauge Phoenix Gold OFC 768 strand cable, phoenix gold connectors.
Vtec controller is useless unless you've tuned enough to move the powerband.
Any hood panel will do, preference.
By the way, it is ALWAYS a good idea to buy all the parts before you buy the car. That's how all the cool people do it.
