Default after ractive header

well I had a recent post on my 1/4 mile times after the mpfi swap.

I have a 91 civic cx 5 speed.
BEFORE
mpfi swap, stock exhaust manifold, heavy 15" rims with 195/50/r15 goodyear eagle 2's, heavy 15'' sub and box, almost empty gas tank
ractive cone filter, 2 1/4 exhaust, no cat, free flowing muffler, short shifter
best times 0-60 in 7.78 seconds...1/4 mile 16.05@83.8mph

TODAY
everything the same but Ractive header 4-2-1 style and 13'' steelies with the worst brand 40% tread remaining 185/70/r13 tires , 1/2 empty tank ,outside temp of -8* Celcius....lots of tirespin due to the crap tires and skinnier footprint....shifting at 6700rpm

0-60 in 7.08 seconds 1/4 mile in 15.65 seconds@88.0mph

60 foot 2.40s
1000ft 13.10
1/8 mile 10.08@69.8

next week....si cam

IT could also be due to less rotational mass, with the little 13's compared to the 15"s. But in any event for posting the results.

Put the 15"s back on and run. I'm sure you'll still pull a good time with the header

what i really need is vx wheels with really good tires

maybe an si tranny.....i wonder if ide have low low 15's after the si tranny compared to the cx one im using now...

that would be crazy.....thats the time some people are running with their untuned bseries engines and zc's.....

lol...I am mostly referring to those people that pay lotsa $$$ for others to do a swap like a b series swap....and then they act like they have the fastest cars...but dont know how to drive....sorry if i offended anyone, but I have seen a lot of this....

but yeah I am extremely happy with my times...really gives my "winter beater" some hope when I put in a torquier b18 in next year.

single cams with bolt ons can run anywhere from a 9.5 to an 11.0+ in the 1/8th depending on the 60 ft. and car.

anything better than a 10.3 is decent in my opinion.

<---- used to own a 93 lx sedan that ran a 9.87 @ 71mph

well, good traction, bolt ons, an EX trans and 14 lb flywheel helped that little motor move out. actually beat a b16 swapped coupe a few times.
