Default I broke this...what does it do?



I broke this What does it do?
The picture is of my H23A# that is blown. The thing i broke is actually on my H22A engine but i cant get a good picture of it with the Intake manifold on, and...its broken in half. Same spot, same clip. Let me know what this thing does. Thanks in advance.

I have managed to break at least two of these buggers. The knock sensor connector shroud is very delicate and brittle.

Grip the sensor shroud with your other hand when disconnecting the harness plug.

Whats the best way to get the sensor off the block so i can replace the goober?

26 or 27mm socket, i cant remember
