Default HONDA PRELUDE OWNERS: Have you had this problem

My wife has a 2000 prelude and our headlights are extremely scratched up. Has anyone had this problem? What could have caused it? Where can we get new ones? Thank you so much in advanced.

ive seen writeups before of how to fix it. it just involves some sanding. some people use a dremel and lightly buff the lens. then they use a polishing compound along with some wax to clean it back up again.

What you can do is try waxing them with a good compound type substance. If that doesn't work, you can wet sand them, then polish them up. I've had to do this with several sets of headlights. They come out pretty good in the end

I have heard that if you sand them, they will turn yellow over time.

I sanded them to get rid of the nasty yellow you mentioned. Sure you may have to repeat this procedure once a year to keep them looking pretty, but I think it beats the hell out of buying new headlamps!!!
