Default yet another gsr strut bar question, yes i searched

ok so i bought a gsr strut bar. but i'm having doubts. the holes in the car are 8mm. the holes in the bar are 10mm, and are oval. so isnt there going to be play in the bar no matter how tight i make the nuts and bolts? i have it installed already but i didn't buy it for looks.

Have mine on, no play what so ever. I put the bolts from underneath the bay and used some nuts to tighten them up. Just make sure to tighten them really tight and you should be good.

well theres no play in the bar if i try to move it by hand, but what about under cornering conditions, there would be much more force than i can deliver by hand.

I'm not too sure about under driving condition, I still don't see why it will have lots of play if its tighten properly. To be honest I have felt a slight improvement in handling, so that should indicate the strut bar is serving its purpose.

im thinking of enlarging the holes in the strut towers so that i can use a 10mm bolt. that or maybe enlarging the holes in both the bar and the towers, so that the holes in the bar are round and using some big *** bolts.
