dunno man.. i threw an Ex cluster in my dx and it plugged right in fine (sedan though)... if you got it from a yard i would look and see if you can swap it for a manual one once they get one..

guage clusters from 88-91 are all interchangable, meaning they all bolt in the same way and have the same connectors. i wouldnt recommend using an auto cluster with a manual and vise versa. just because the auto has different sensors and can give false ecu codes. if you have a manual tranny, i would use an 88-91 cluster from a manual si, ex, or lx(youll have a cruise control light, but it doesnt matter).

They all bolt in but are not fully interchangeable without a little work. 88-89 are plug and play within the same 2 years, and 90-91 are interchangeable within the same 2 years, you can swap between those groups with some minor wiring changes. I have a 88 EX sedan cluster in my 89 DX so I have a tach with a 7,200 RPM red line big woop. I know the ZC has a 8,200 RPM redline, take yellow paint and convert the redline between those 2 points to yellow. Junkyard I went to charges $25 for clusters, you pull. from the yard no guarantee.

ZC has a 7200 redline and depending on the ecu a rev limit in between 7500 and 8000.

You are right, I made the mistake. It is 7,200 rpm. May bad. I think the EX had a 6,500 rpm redline now that my brain is working better, Spin a ZC to 8,200 and you ARE going to have some serious problems.
