Tranny sitting in garage for 8 weeks +
Hi,
So my tranny is sitting in my garage that is awaiting the block to come back frrom Benson.
So anyways it wont be 6-8 weeks untill i put it back in the car... so it will be sitting in my garage rotting etc.....
To sum it up, should i wrap it in plastic wrap or anything? To prevent bugs/debris from entering?
Anything i should do as it sits and waits?
Thanks

Just take a clean wadded up cotton rag or paper towel and stick it in the axle openings, minding the seal. If you want more, stick it in a garbage bag. I assume all the drain plugs and VSS sensor are installed. If not, wad up a few more cotton rags.
im just gonna wrap it up in a trash bag....
am i over paranoid about getting my tranny messed up as it sits in the garage?
