I need some feedback on a modded 95 ninja zx6, soon please got cash in hand tryin to purchase tommor
Ok I can get a hell of deal on a 95 ninja zxr candy black with silver specks, jet kit dual exhaust(why I dunno) intake and other mods I dont remember. The guy is in a horrible bind and I have cash in hand, I can get this bike for right around 2gs. 22k miles runs strong. I first have to get my mechanic to check for frame damage, unless theres a way I can? what do you guys think? Im not familiar with this particular bike at all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Im very excited and need help asap, im ready to buy this baby. Thanks very much,
James

Well its just like buying any other bike or car you dont know about, take it to a mechanic you trust unless you know your way around it without any problems. I dont know what 95 ninjas go for so i dont know if its a good deal
thanks for the feedback, I really need someone who knows something about bikes, my good friend is a motorcycle mechanic but his job conflicts with the hours the place the bike is at, its a pawn shop btw(my friend manages) What are things I can look for, I just know someone else is gonna buy it soon If I dont. My main concern is frame damage, I have access to many many tools, is there any way I can tell if the frame is damaged, I would ride it but not experienced enough to take a modded unpaid for bike on a test drive on a busy *** 5 lane divided highway. any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
More than likely, if the bike is at a pawn shop then it's prolly not in the best shape.
How many miles?
Those bikes came stock with dual pipes BTW.
They were a 150 mph 600 back in the day
If ya buy it, plan on spending the usual $500-1500 in reconditioining (tires, battery, chain and sprockets, oil change, grips, valve adjust etc).
Any "problems are gonna cost ya more.
If it's been sitting for a long time then yer gonna have more issues - even if it's been run daily yer gonna hafta have the carbs redone.
You may be better off buyin sumthin alot newer for $4k that runs and seller can tell you the history - a much better option than spending $2k for someone elses problem/project and have it sit in yer garage cuz ya don't have the $ ta get it running.

Is there a bike forum where I may be able to find more on this bike. kawasakiforum.com didnt have **** about it. Its hard findin info on web as well and theres only one on cycle trader, thanks,
