The Spoon N1 is already loud with all the stock resonators on the oem piping. It'll be THAT much louder if you upgrade your b-pipe to a bigger diameter and not run a resonator.

IMO you should find a quality resonator, nothing cheap because it'll rattle.

BTW. Project spoogen has already been done.

It will be buzzy. 2.5" is just right for a N/A setup.

2.5" is pretty huge as well... I don't understand why honda ppl feel the need for enormous exhausts on street cars. I don't even run 2.5" on my turbo car

I'm a proponent of using cats (I want my kids to still be able to breathe when I'm dead), so since you're getting custom piping made, I'd suggest a hi-flow cat and custom piping w/ a 22" long 4" round magnaflow resonator. That'll help keep things quiet and still have good flow. The piping on the spoon n1 is only 60mm. You'll have a restriction going from your b-pipe to spoon n1 connecting pipe that'll cause turbulance (larger to smaller sudden changes cause turbulence). I'd rather go just 2.25" cat and custom piping. a better match for the spoon n1. it's great if you want 2.5" piping, but what good will that be if your muffler is still 60mm?...it's basically like having a full 60mm system all the way back. A test pipe w/ no resonator will be LOUD!!!!!!!!

Big question.....................WHY?

So the whole city can hear you coming?

Leave it alone, Spoon made it that way so it should be good enough for you on the street.

ok so you guys are saying do 2.25 piping, keep my cat or get a high-flow cat, then do or dont get a resonator?? i dont want my **** to sound like a lawnmower, but i hear the spoon n1's sound badass, they are just real loud....so my question is, resonator or no resonator, for a clean sounding honda with spoon n1
