I did a mini me swap on a 89 4dr d15b2, i used the z6 head and intake mani, but any ways. i got it all back together but it keeps throwing code 8 tdc sensor what can i do. i have checked all the wiring and also, i had to wire the dizzy into the obd0 harness cuz i couldnt get a hold of a si dizzy could this be it.

 

I would be 100% that would be your problem. Cause that sensor is in your dizzy. You wire wrong and ...you get it

 

soooo.....u did the mpfi swap.....and converted to obd-1?????...

if the sensor is fine but this was the code that showed up after the mpfi swap...then check the wires that were originally at c1 and c2 (orange>>>>>>>white).....and make sure they are in the correct place.........c1 wire orange.....at b10...........c2 wire white .....at b12

damn.....tdc sensor wiring shouldnt have been touched in the mpfi swap............however possibly at the plug for the dizzy when u repinned....triple check that all the wires are exactly going to the right wires on the plug......and ifu think u swithced the 2 white wires around...u obviously didnt or else ur car wouldnt start ...thats what i did at first

 

one more thing i got a timing light and everyone knows how it works put it on the 1st plug wire turn it over should light up. well i just bought a brand new one cuz i thought mine was broke its weird, the plugs wont spark inside the block any ideas. and yes new plugs and plug wires.
