So i got pulled over because my exuast was too loud. I was doing the speed limit but apparently this ***** wanted to mess with me. I didnt have my proof of insurance(but i did have insurance) and my exhaust was "too loud, this isnt a race track boy..."

Anyways, I have an APC muffler. does anyone know where i can get a universal muffler silencer so i can get this ticket taken care of???

BTW its a 2 1/2" Inlet. and 4" outlet.....

I beg to differ. California cops are notorious for this. If you do a search, you will find a lot more people who had gotten pulled over for "loud exhaust".

It's true, cops here pull you over for little to nothing. Especially if you live in an area with very low crime(like mine).
I got pulled over the other night just because my Accord's license plate light was out. He was nice enough not to give me a ticket for it though.
It's simple, they don't have any real criminals to catch, and they have ticket quotas to meet(none would ever confess to this though). If they don't give out a certain number of tickets a month, they can lose their job.
So what do they do? Pull over anyone who looks even the slightest bit suspicious. Even stupider is pulling over someone who accidentally chirps their tires in a turn...has a loud sound system or loud exhaust. I must admit though, in order to just avoid the whole "being hassled" it's best to just make sure your music is turned down, and that your car isn't too loud so you don't attract unwanted attention from cops.
Bottom line, watch out for the ticket hungry cops.

Instead of Critical Race Theory , here is Critical Import Theory for your ***. If you don't live in California, then you don't and won't understand. Back when I daily drove my old race car, cops messed with me from time to time and simply saying "you're car is too loud" on a few occasions. I drove/drive like an old lady too.

On one occassion I had OEM exhuast and got pulled over "for being too loud." I had to explain that I had an intake, header, and motor work done that caused the engine to be louder than stock, not an "exhaust system." He got down with a flashlight and saw the "Honda" on the muffler and let me go.

People that drive Normal still get harrassed by cops, especially in Cali from my experiences. I'm willing to bet the same types of things happen in other states.

 

if its REALLY that bad in california, then i suggest two things:

1.) Dont mdify your car
2.) Move

thats all i got to say. cops arent stupid, and they dont suck. they are just doing their job. do you think they like pulling you over? i dont think you realize how much paperwork they have to go through for something as simple as that, and frankly i doubt any of them enjoy busting out a flash light and looking for CARB stickers, etc.

Also, i suggest you guys know your state/local laws. if you know your exhaust is too loud, change it. if you know that you're below the legal level, you have nothing to worry about.

if its so bad, why dont you just all get together and file a class action law suit against the state of california, or the california state police, or whatever. if you know your rights, you can't get in trouble (as long as you follow the rules)

My brother and I live in Orlando FL. He got a ticket for his car being 2 inches of the ground. Cops do suck. I don't see a crime in that. I don't see how he was breaking the law. I understand if he was speeding or racing on the highway, but getting a ticket for your car being dropped. I don't agree.

 

I wonder if cops give tickets to lifted trucks since they give them for being to low?

Make sure you keep blaming your problems on your race. That's a good way to live life. At least that way you don't have to take responsibility for your actions.

And you are right, white people don't have any problems, we never get harrassed, treated unfairly, or anything. Hell, everything is just handed to us. Cops love us because we are white, so they never pull us over or anything. Man it's nice being white!!

WOW, where do I start. #1 my simple point was that people do get pulled over for their car sounding or looking a certain way, while "driving" under the rules of the road. Of course some of them deserve to be pulled over because of speeding, etc. There are some who drive their cars that are "too loud" everyday, probably because that's all they can afford to drive. I'm lucky enough to be able to afford a race car and a daily driver that is nearly impossible to get pulled over in, unless I am breaking the law.

People do get pulled over or harrased for simply being a certain color. Remember law enforcement officers are regular people. They aren't a select group of the human race. They have their own beliefs and biases. They may pull over a car that sounds too loud simply because they "don't like all these damn imports racing around." They might pull over that guy because he is green and suspisous looking.

People's rights are infringed everyday. Simply knowing them will not stop you from getting into trouble. Simply knowing laws will not prevent it either. There are corrupt people everywhere. People across the state and U.S. are in jail right now and simply do not know why because of ******** law enforcment agencies.

Open your ******* eyes to the World.

p.s. In California there are things called "traffic cops" that specifically deal with writing tickets, etc.

no, i been to san jose just last year, no i am not white and no i don't get hassle over my "modded" honda.
they pull you for exhaust, it doesnt even have to be loud, there's a modified exhaust law, they can write you up for a fix it even if your 4 inch tip bling out muffler is well under the db level.

If it’s too loud, smoky, drone, fast cops will pull you over Regardless of white, black, brown, orange, red color.

This is the reason why I remove my Magnaflow muffler and install stock muff back.
Now car is run very quite and smooth.

Yesterday I was doing 85 in 60 zone, cops got me in their radar, but I gave a nice smile so they let me go, without a ticket .

I love cops

1)Car to low.
2)Car to high off the ground.
3)Exhaust to loud.
4) Sound System too loud.
5)Faded/dark Head Light Lamps.
6)Tinted windows(too dark=ticket).
7)Any broken lights...even the license plate illuminators.
8)Missing a rear-view mirror(namely driver's side).

These are all the most important things you should have on your mind when deciding to modify the cosmetics of your vehicle.....anything you do to your engine will most likely make your car non-smog legal in CA...
Once again CA proves to the world it sucks.....damned hippies.

Its the way of life my friend, whether or not they are upholding the law doesnt mean cops arent average people who live average lives when their not in uniform. Those cops probably hate ricers too, and after a hard day of work especially in a big city they may have a headache, and the last thing they want to hear is BA BA BA BADUM DUM BEEEEEE going by as your APC exhaust backfires..
