i have seen it done before but i wasnt thinkng at the time on asking him how hard it was but it improves like 3 and a half seconds in 1/4 mile i am a mecanic so shop work is no prob.
If I understood you correctly, yes, it will improve your 1/4 times significantly since the 3rd gen chassis is significantly lighter.
I know that it is a custom swap. It's more difficult because there are few companies that make kits to make the swap easier.
Beyond that, you will want to register on http://www.preludepower.com and ask them (mostly 3rd gen owners) what else is needed.

thanks dude. A couple weeks ago i raced a cavalier riced up and almost lost i decided right then and there that i need to do something to make my car faster at the current time i run 16.5 in the 1/4 mile but with this engine i can run 13.5 which is vetry impressive. Thanks for your advise though.
HAHAHAHA. I know how you feel, man.
You might want to look into seeing if the B18 motors can be swapped in too. Theya re not a bad choice for 3rd gens. I don't know if anyone has done it though.
