All I have to say is that the AC is a big part of defogging a DC2's glass in weather.
That's the only reason I still have AC on my DC2 track car...sometimes I'm driving in the rain.

the only way i'd understand this poll if its a completely stripped car. thats the only way you'd benefit from this little step of weight saving.
otherwise dont pull it. you'll definitely regret it

The thread went to hell with flaming, I happened to catch the report, and noticed it would be easier to just restart the thread.

The a/c definitely helps with defogging, but I pulled my a/c and it really isn't all that bad. I regret pulling the power steering more than that.
If you daily drive it, I wouldn't do it.

When my car was a daily driver, parked outside everynight, the A/C as a defogger was really important to me, it would have sucked to not have it at that time.
if i had a daily id pull the power steering before the a/c. when the a/c is off theres no drag on the motor(a/c pump spins freely). the power steering is what has drag. and when your a/c is on your not racing(usually) so you dont have to worry about the power loss. if your worried about weight you can lose it on other places.
I took out my AC just because im used to not having it in. Plus, up here in ND, it doesnt get too hot. If it does then i just roll down the windows.
