Well for my STOCK 97 EX, I paid $4250 with 117,000 on the ticker. I think I got a decent deal, nothing in that year range came close to being that cheap. It was clean as hell to, driven by an older women. I would say 4k for his, only because I dont know if I would buy a car with a different engine. Looks clean though so I say 4k. Also tell him he is low in brake fluid.

 

If you got rid of the floor-mats, spray-paint, and the mess of wires under the hood... I'd give you good-to-great condition blue-book prices. Book it, lay down a price and go from there. I realize this is totally vaugue but....

keep in mind aftermarket parts don't necessarily mean higher value. Unless the mods are the reason he wants the car.

If he wanted to have some work done at the dealer, they wouldnt work in the engine bay. I was at the dealer yesterday and some poor kid, bought the car with an older engine and they told him they couldnt help him. Not saying him or you would take it down, but they replaced a few sensors on my EX due to a warranty, and if it wouldnt have been stock they would have said your SOL.

i hit a bird in my car doing 85 and it cracked and scratched my hood. :

 

i still have no idea what i hit. no feathers or anything left behind. i hit a bird in a geo metro WOW that bird fuckt up the whole front end

 

Depending on your state it might not be such a good idea on purchasing that car. You said it comes with a D15B which might be illegal to have since its an older engine than the car. Offer him $3500 and slap him for that gay graphic design he has going on at the sides.
