Default searched already...mount question...

found some stuff, but just want to be sure

B16A into EG 4dr. auto. Converted from auto and engine in, but passenger side mount is off by 1" cause of auto tranny brakcet? Was wondering if drilling out spot welds and reweld mount foward and maybe down cause it looks like the drive line would sit too high if i just moved it over...Did anyone encounter this? any help is appreciated...thanks

I'm not sure if or how the auto tranny bracket differs from a manual one. What year is the engine? If its a cable tranny you'll need Hasport's EGBCC conversion kit which comes with a shorter mount to level out the engine. I wouldn't cut and weld an engine mount if you paid me to do it. Seriously, DO NOT screw with it.

you can drill out the auto spot welds then get a manual bracket at a junk yard and do the same then weld the manual bracket to your car

true, i used the b tranny mount, cut the mount and kept the bottom braket piece.
welded a 2 inch dia. steel pipe 1/4 thick. to it. then used polyurethane inserts with 1/2 inch steel insert for the bolt. I used the same 2 inch diameter pipe for the bushing, works perfect. If u need a picture i'll show u through e-mail. You can get the mount from hasport for $185. I did it for free

jdmshit sells that auto to manual mount for 125 i believe. You can drill the mount bracket and move it forward and then use the mount from manual

Thanks for the help, i think drilling out the old one and welding a new one is the easiest. Thanks, now i can finish this damn swap. After T-day of course, enjoy! Football, Beer, Turkey...
