My DA Is in the shop - ES inserts installed, Many other problems explective!!!!
Hey guys whats up,
My 90 integra rs is the shop right now.
I took it to have a new rear motor mount (I torn the rear one)
And also had ES Inserts installed on the front and Rear motor mounts
Shop has worked on it for 4 hours (two Honda mechanics, 28 years at dealership and then 4 years into his own Honda shop.)
You guys might remember him from the last Honda-tech meet we had in Nashville, it rained,
He has a white civic with a swapped DOHC Vtec and has a JRSC installed.
His shop is called Jimmy's automotive Honda specialist ~ Also Acura
Well, the ES inserts would not fit with the mount in the rear,
Due to the inserts being very thick, he had to bend open the mount(car) a little
to get it in to fit.
well he is also doing the front mount.
He took of the front cross-member and guess what,
the right rod had no sleeve!! So it has been bouncing around the there,
I don't have a pic, this is the best way to describe what I'm talking about

Well, on top of that whoever I got the car from worked on the car and used rear motor mount bolts in the drive shaft
and drive shaft bolts in the rear motor mount! :MAD:
No wondering I have all these problem, I'm having to replace/rebuild everything including the F'ing bolts!
Well that's not all, there are other things, the last owner installed a civic exhaust on my 90integra so all the mounting rod don't align and it looks like they had a shop fab up random mounts to hang the exhaust
Yeah and there is more, but I'll get to that later.
SRY I'M JUST VENTING.
Anyway, I cant wait to drive the car with new motor mounts and ES Inserts!

Sounds like a hella of a plan you got there chief. So how much did you get the inserts for? Sucks that you have to replace all these things on the car hah? I know all too well about that though.
I got the inserts for $21 and then I was stupid and had them overnighted for
an extra $40 WASTE of money becuase now 3 months later there being installed.

Yeah. Even if we aren't down that way to watch you it doesn't take long to get there.
I think you could get that in the 1/8. Just practice your shifts and learn to double clutch. If you can master these things, anything is possible.

Damn, ES Inserts vibrate like nothing else. Hope the soften just a little,
Becuase the front of my car shakes like no other, I'll try to get a tiny video of the steering wheel, mirrors etc...
Its like having lots of bass. It is nice tho, I love it.
It's all smoother, Its cray awsome! You can hear the engine also, sounds like a beast, its very vey deep.
Even when I change gears slowly you can hear everything vibrating chage as the rpms drop.
Later, now to installed the front camber kit and try to get an alignment today

lol.. now you understand why i didnt want to offer to much for your car.
you have got to be VERY careful as to who you buy used cars from. A lot of home mechanics think they know what to do. But instead they just F*** the **** up worse than ever.
Trust me.. you haven't seen the last of the problems that car is hiding. lol.. but good luck with it. and just keep pushing forward.

well if you're friend is interested.. i might.. but i think i am keeping it.. the car I want to buy, the guy isnt lowering his price.. so if he doesnt lower, I dont sell mine..
but ya.. those ES bushings really vibrate.. my friends CRX is like that too. its rough.. get those camber kits in yet?

yah i think there fried, either that or a bad headgasket.
Anyway, Yah I'll be buying an imported B18 and I'll replace all gaskets,
water pump etc..
And I'll install ARP Rod bolts, main studs, head studs, etc...
I want to go boost next year, T3 .42/.48 wg spring is set at 8psi so it should give me about 235WHP at 8psi with the rest of th setup I wanna run.
Just want to get this car good for the streets,
He has $5,000 but wanted to set 1K aside for Mods.
But your car is pretty much done, lol

If I were to keep the car, I would just have the timing belt and maybe headgasket changed.. other than that.. nothing.. oh.. and some tokico illumina 5-way adj. shocks.. but id do the T/B, W/P, and tensioner first.. just for safety..

The going to take it over to my grandps and have it fabed up.
Should I fab it up with it on jackstand or on the ground?
Would this make a diffrence in the diffrence it will make after it's installed.
I know if I fab it up with it off the ground I need to install it with it off the ground, visa versa
